The Kitchen Table Book Club
The kitchen table was a common gathering place in my mother's house. Folks would gather around the table to talk, share secrets, celebrate, eat, and relax. It was a warm and welcoming safe place for everyone.
The Kitchen Table Community Book Club offers a selection of novels and memoirs written by Black authors. You are cordially invited to select a book of your choice and join around the table to explore and discuss the unique lived experiences of African-Americans navigating trauma, identity, healing, recovery, and wellness.
How Does it Work?
We are offering six (6) facilitated Kitchen Table sessions, one for each of the six book selections. Participants may select a book, which will be provided, and sign up to attend the session.
